title: Jesus, the most beautiful name that I know

Hello.

I had a rather weird dream last night. Haha. I dreamt that I was shot in the head. Right in the centre! I shall not say by who otherwise it'd be even more scarrayye. I shall not mention the other details but I remember I was so scared that I would die (in normal circumstances I'd already have been dead) that I made sure that I was still thinking clearly till some medics with a stupid blue mattress came to take me away. Ha. Ha.

The scene moves to some market in Russia and I don't know why there were lots of fires that needed putting out with a fireman hose. And then I was in this salon with all those super skinny models and Heidi Klum was there too. While one model was being made up, there was another talking to Heidi Klum about having sex. Yes, I mean female model with female model. And Heidi was saying firmly that no, she would never dream of doing that and she would stick to doing it with her husband. I'm so proud of her (:

When I speak your Name, mountains move, chain are loosed
When I speak your Name, darkness flees, it has to hold on me
...
Jesus the most beautiful name that I know
You're the exalted One

The last two lines (ie the first part of the chorus) really touched me yesterday during p&w (: It was a reminder that aside from Jesus, there is no other who can be with me throughout whatever I go through and even now when I'm enjoying life I shouldn't forget to call upon His Name.

Well, I'm leaving tonight at 2345 :D. (Eh so cool I didn't realise the numbers were consecutive! LOL)

Today was the food fest in church :D It was pretty fun just hanging out, though there wasn't much to do.

I was tending the hoop-the-ring stall with Jiawei and business wasn't that great, but there was enough entertainment, what with the dunking machine just nearby (Even a pastor got dunked!) and Bertrand and Mingkang sitting there being useless and retarded. HAHA. The little kids who did play were quite adorable :D And there was also this old lady who refused to pay after playing -.-

Don't know why I wasn't that hungry when there was so much fabulous food around! And when I got back I started to feel hungry. Things always turn out this way! :P I didn't get to dunk anyone although Wendy said she would pay for me to dunk Kenneth muahaha!

I am going off to Spain on Monday night I can't wait manzxzxz! *jumps for joy*

title: Farewell Alma Mater <3

Well! So I'm back from FAM :D

I went to the Hilton at about 3.30 yesterday instead of 2.30 because I was held up by the stupid rain that flooded many parts of Singapore :O Scary! Our room was on the 15th floor and we had plenty of fun pre- and post-FAM chilling out in the room hehheh :D

The hairdresser came at about 4 plus and Deb's aunt came to do make-up soon after. And in the meantime the TV was showing Cartoon Network because Deb's nine-year-old cousin was there too. They had this strange anime version of the Powerpuff Girls and stuff like that. Grace was like, " Kids' shows nowadays are so bizarre." I ttly agree with her! :P

Anyway, moving on to the real thing, everyone, really everyone, was decked out SO nicely it was just awesome to see. I would wanna bet that we were the best-dressed batch ever :D Haha. Everyone looked so grown-up in their pretty dresses and super-high heels; it was quite amazing to see all the transformations hehheh (: A few of us were in theme too with the masks in our hair! ;) The whole thing actually was quite Viva Las Vegas, if you were there to see it!

The food was not bad but we were kind of like too busy doing other stuff *knowing smile* to enjoy the food proper. Our poor corner right-next-to-the-door table number 36 was kinda left out - we got out food late, we got different food, we didn't have enough chairs. But whatever! Becky Chew won an iTouch from the lucky draw! (AHHH LUCKY BECKY!) I want! Haha.

OH YES. My camera conked out on me halfway was really erratic. Sometimes I could take photos, sometimes I couldn't -.- I think it has something to do with the other type of batteries I used after my first set was low. Ah well. I'd originally thought of bringing my bigger camera but decided that it'd be weird to be carrying a big camera around with my dress. So I brought my mum's small one. Many people brought their DSLR's anyway. Hah. But oh well, no matter!

We were toying around with the idea of going to Mac's at Forum for dessert but we were too lazy and ended up taking silly pictures of ourselves back in the hotel room, dressing down (opposite of dressing up gerrit?), counting the number of pins in our hair and all. Then we watched Step Up and Koizora whilst munching away at Salt and Vinegar Lay's HAHA. Sam and I were kinda...unaffected by Koizora although it is supposed to be very sad :\ I thought it was pretty unrealistic! But maybe that's because I was, well, sleepy.

Well we slept at like 5 (this morning). And woke up at 10.30 (this morning). We went for brunch at Mac's after managing to clean up our thoroughly-messed-up room.

The whole event was filled with fun and laughter and photos and girls dressed up to the nines and well, it ended off our whole RGS journey/life with a big bang! :D And I'm so thankful for the great friends and great times I had the privilege to have.

Settling in...

The array of shoes!
And the lovely nails!
Doing my hair (:
Deb's mum bought us very chocolate-y donuts!
Finally ready. We were kinda running late. Hehheh.
My eye :D
Anna and Joni :D
My batchmates!
Talia :D
Jolyn!
Our HSSRP group (with Sherm the birthday girl on the left!)
Xinyi and Wanting (:
415 <3 This was our momento from the event. Maybe RGS is going green; Anna noticed they used Ecofont! :D
What an eventful yesterday (:

Whoopee!

Haha hello!

Like my new blogskin? (:

I am typing this with my newly French-manicured nails. HAHA. Went to do them yesterday somewhere in Tampines. Joni recommended a shop there but when I got there it was closed (not corresponding with its opening hours -.-) so fortunately, after walking around a bit, I found another one which did it quite well, but for 10 dollars more. This is the first time I've painted my toe nails a very dark, almost-black colour. It's always been reds for me so far (: Red clashes with pink, see. ;)

Yesterday I had to wake up early merely to go to school for 45 minutes (!?!!). Yeah, to collect our testimonials and all that jazz. We'd originally planned to re-record class song 'cause of the not-so-perfect vocals, but we couldn't find the song on the desktop. Rawr.

Then I went to watch Amelia last night with Joshua. I don't get why it's showing only in the oh-so-far-off places (how annoying!) so I was quite surprised that it was actually showing at Century. I found the show a bit boring at first, but today when my mum was asking me about it and I thought about it it didn't seem so bad. Haha.

The past few days were, quite unexpectedly, devoid of idleness, considering we dashed our plan to go cycling in Ubin on Monday. I went back to SHPS on Tuesday with Anna to see ex-teachers and it so happened that it was their funfair day :D It was nice seeing the familiar faces again, but as every year passes the number of familiar faces decreases, quite considerably. Helped my aunt with money-counting later too.

Oh yeah. When you notice something, when you look at things or when something happens to cross your mind, it sets off a train of thoughts. Sometimes after that train of thoughts I find myself wondering what others would be thinking about this same thing. Would they be thinking what I was thinking? Sometimes I think that I think in too complex a way about something, but then after that I'm quite proud of myself for coming up with a complex thought. HAHA. Yes, I know I know, I'm quirky like that. (:

Well. FAM tonight! It will be fun, I hope. After that we'll have to find some way to entertain ourselves, 'cause there's no dvd player in the room.

title: Satisfying aches

I spent the earlier part of yesterday at East Coast with my cell.

Getting there was kinda...strange though. I had to cross the flyover and since I was on the wrong side of the flyover I had to walk under it through unkempt grass after I came down. So my feet were kinda wet with dew and stuff. And when I got there at 1030 I had to wait 20 minutes for the rest to come. (Meeting time was at 1030. LOL.) But Lagoon was quiet and peaceful at that time and I was kind of enjoying the momentary solitude ;)

We walked/cycled over to the volleyball net and played frisbee for about an hour. Apparently the vball net is new and no one uses it so that area is nice and empty and free for our use (if we decide to go back there soon :D).

The hokkien mee at Lagoon is awesome! Although Mel and I ate ours without prawn or squid and I think the stall holders must be thinking what brats we all are since Kevin, too, asked for no dou ya for his. Haha!

[this was carried out in Chinese]
And then we asked the auntie, "What's squid in Chinese?"
And the uncle was like, "Sotong. Oh that's Malay!"
Then they said something like "Pu yu" or something.
And the best thing was, the auntie said, "你们在学校里没有学到的meh?"
Then we were like, "No."

She must have been thinking the kids of today are just. SAD.

After lunch we returned to that cosy spot to play volleyball after the-one-who-owns-the-volleyball aka Evan came at only 1 plus (!?!). After a particularly uneventful attempt at volleyball we decided to play soccer on the court which had no net. Mine and Kevin's slippers were the goal posts. And we actually had quite a lot of fun, what with flying sand, ankle-smacking and what-have-you!

I now have a weird sunburnt spot on the top of my shoulder where I forgot to apply sunblock! OHWELLZ.

But it felt great to be back together having fun after the O's snatched away everyone's freedom for a few weeks. :D :D

Btw I managed to get this awesome Steve Madden bag from the Robinsons Expo sale today! Don't ask me why I went there because I normally hate expo sales due to the absolutely sky-high numbers of people there, but Joni said there was something there I might like for my prom shoes. Well in the end, I decided that I'm sticking to my original pink pair of Steve Madden's. LOL.

Friday was quite a lot of fun after The Release!

The highlights of Arts Fest (the day programme): The teachers (and school technicians) performed and there was a rock and acoustic band. What sports they are! Haha. Mr Ow's and Mr Toh's voices are good! Mr Ow suddenly appeared halfway from nowhere and I don't know if that was meant to be a surprise 'cause he had been on reservist and people were missing him at Farewell. Anyway, to digress a little, Philo lessons have been fun and absorbing because of him and we seem to have this rapport with him that other classes don't. And so a very dry subject has been not-so-dry these 2 years (:
Then there was the violin-guitar duo from the Australian school and Ms Rani Singam's jazz performance. All them of them played/sang so well together; they only needed to look at one another to communicate. Guess that's how much they understand their music, and I'd really like to be like that someday (:

They were SO GOOD! I loved the music they made. It was so awesome!
Anna was going ga-ga about how cool the bassist was. Lol!
And class busking. It was quite a success because all of us were there and the feeling was really...I dunno, nice, because we hadn't really practised much, but we just sang our Christmas carols and our class song (plus other songs we did not prep for) and it all came out nicely. Those who could harmonise did so, everyone was singing, should I say somewhat with gusto, and the pianists improvised, and I just love how our class is so talented. It really is hard to describe, but I really how much I love 415 for being a place where you fit in because you are different. What I'm saying is that that's the unique characteristic of our class - everyone is unique, and no one has to worry about trying to fit an image of any sort, because we are each unique and quirky like that :D

Us 4 gypsies on Thursday!
Statue Becky! :D
The day we were Christmassy for busking!
Practising in class (:
RGS Nite (sorry but I still can't stand the way they spell it) was nice. Despite my SUPER lousy seat, I enjoyed the thing (:

Before they told me phototaking was forbidden, I managed to get some shots of my beloved RGSSB doing their thing! They were really, really awesome and I'm so proud of them! :D Eben though they were doing formations and all, they were still mostly together and the volume was good. I really love George Gershwin's music; it all started with me playing his preludes for my diploma haha :D

Anyway, during the finale when all the performers were back on stage and as I watched my juniors singing and playing along I just had this wave of fondness for them, for all the time we had spent together, for RGSSB and how I would really, really, really miss playing in RGSSB ~ Don't really know how to say it, but during that finale item I think I felt the most love for RGSSB in my whole band life...
Classmates! Everyone was looking glam! HAHA.
And so. RGS life has ended. The feelings are mixed, of course. I'm so sad that RGS life is over because they were some of the best years of my life. But there's this feeling of expectation too, of moving on, trying new things and testing boundaries. Right now the former still makes itself found, though.

*wistful sigh*

I HAVE FINISHED MY HP ESSAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

This has been such a huge (and I mean HUGE!) source of stress in the last three days. I wanted to start on it only after HCL O's were over and done with so I only had three days left to do because the grand deadline for it is...tomorrow. I really don't know how my essay will stand when *whoever-is-involved* reads it, but I'm crossing my fingers and waiting to be called for an interview in January 2010. (:

I wouldn't normally react this way when I finish an essay but this marks the beginning of my Freedom For The Rest Of The Year, if you get what I mean! Haha. It was originally so infuriating that after HCL I still had this THING.

So now is the time to start enjoying, hardcore!

Oh yeah anyway I have 2 new pairs of Levi's because they were having a promotion (: (:

title: Hmm.

Today was Farewell.

Life in RGS is ending. Or should I say, has ended. I think the worst of the "I won't have this experience ever again" hasn't really hit me yet, 'cause I don't feel extremely sad right now. I think it will only come when I actually think about whatever I've been through and how there'll never be a period like this again. I don't mean in a bad way, but whatever is going to come will be different. It won't be like this again.

All the times with friends, teachers, seniors, juniors, alone amidst the rambling school grounds, with nerdy stuff (8\), my French Horn, my camera, conducting (HMM)... There's so much more that I've really loved about my whole RGS experience. Don't really know how to put everything into words and well, I'm not going to try!

Here's to RGS (:

This is nice! (With Karmin in the background hahaha)

We gave them wings. Which they even wore throughout class party. How sporting haha!
Haha. Mr Jalleh.
CLASS PARTAYYE :D
I wish I could post more! (Argh my Preview is a bit screwed today) Alright. *switches to pensive mode*

title: I AM FULL OF COFFEE!

Haha today I drank the most coffee in my entire life. Because, you see, I don't drink coffee. I don't even like it, but I think after today this sentiment is kinda changing. HAHAHA. It still applies for strong coffee, but I think the lesser brews are actually...quite nice :D

Today I went to the Starbucks Training Facility (:
When we reached there we were shown into this cosy room with cool wallpaper. Then one of the women came in with a tray of vanilla iced latte (:D!) and things started getting exciting. First the latte, then mini versions of what they usually sell in Starbucks stores, like blueberry muffins, brownies, some tarts and this layered mango cheesecake thing. They were so good I tell you. We were just joking that today we consumed about 50 bucks' worth of Starbucks stuff without having to pay a cent HAHA.

Anyway, besides the presentations of coffee beans and stuff related to them, we got to do cupping! :D Which is tasting a little bit of different types of coffee with that requisite loud slurping noise! Then spitting it out after that so you won't get a coffee overdose. It was cool. My pathetic amateur tongue couldn't really differentiate the different types distinctly though (x

After that I tried my hand at making my own cuppaccino :O I actually downed (almost) the entire cup after that. Quite an amazing feat for me haha! We got to meet quite a few important people in the business too (:

It was fun! Anyway, my legs are aching :\ Ok, back to Chinese.
